Travel
By plane:
- there is only one airport in Genoa (
www.airport.genova.it)
a bus (airbus timetable) will carry you from the airport to the railroad station Genova Brignole.
Then use taxi or Bus (see below).
By train:
- Genova Brignole station is the nearest railway station
(Official italian train timetable,
if you travel from Geneva you can find useful to check
the Swiss train timetable).
Then use taxi or Bus.
Suggested buses are
- 17, 17/: at the fourth platform (direction S.Martino) you will find bus lines 17, 17/.
You have to get off the bus near San Martino Hospital, at the first stop on Corso Europa.
Walk back along the road for some 50 meters, then take the steps on your left of Salita Papigliano, then
follow instructions below (after getting off buses 45,85,87).
- 45, 86, 87: these buses have an end stop in the middle of the small garden in front of the station.
You have to get off the bus at second stop in Via S. Martino.
Climb up along Via Papigliano, to reach Via Padre Semeria, a small lane enclosed by high walls.
You see in front of you a gate (open from 8:00 to 19:00 Monday-Friday); go through it and walk
the metal bridge. When you are to the steps down, you see the main entrance to the Physics Department
(view map).
